Welcome to Wisdom Trails by Keren!
I am super thrilled to have you here. I am a Keren, a born-again Christian, wife, and mom of two from Kenya.
Does this place look familiar? We shuffled the furniture, got a new set of blinds, and tinkered with the balcony. Did you notice?
I was formerly blogging under the name “Parenting Spring,” where I mostly shared parenting advice.
As time peeled away, I felt the need to unfurl my wings and expand coverage.
We are now dubbed Wisdom Trails, but more of that in a moment.
You will find all the articles from my former blog under the “Old Posts” section.
Why Wisdom Trails?
Have you ever felt stuck and downright frustrated about some aspects of your life?
Areas that fail to align with what the word of God boldly states about you?
Over the years, as I navigated my Christian walk, marriage, parenting, and life in general, I came face-to-face with certain areas where I had stagnated for years.
They taunted me and refused to budge.
And I loathed that; it made me go green around the gills.
Through prayer and deep introspection, God mercifully shattered the scales from my eyes.
He made me notice a pattern.
In most of those icky areas where my life was festering, I had forfeited biblical wisdom.
I had relied on my own understanding and applied old, inept, useless human wisdom.
This only made my life unfruitful, and it drove me up the wall.
The realisation that without godly wisdom I couldn’t flourish hit me like a ton of bricks.
King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, prescribed wisdom as the most prized asset in life.
“Wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)
“Through wisdom, a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches”. ( Proverbs 24:3-4)
Only through God’s wisdom, understanding, and knowledge can we build and fortify our lives.
Overlooking goldly wisdom from the scriptures is costly; it makes our lives unfruitful.
“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6a)
Just like me, I know you would love to have your walk with God, your marriage, family, career, and many other aspects of your life not only built up but established.
We all want to build lives that knock it out of the park.
Whenever we choose God’s wisdom, we are building right.
But when we gloss over it and follow human ideologies and opinions, we sign up for bland, lackluster lives.
Join me here at Wisdom Trails as we dig up gems of biblical wisdom in the quest to have fruitful lives.
Our SI unit will be the infallible word of God.
We will discard any habit or way of thinking that contravenes God’s word, no matter how deeply entrenched it is.
Together, let’s lay an indomitable foundation for ourselves and our households using the infallible word of God.
Let’s build on the rock, not on flimsy sand.
You are welcome to bring your trail of wisdom onboard as we stir one another towards love and good works (Hebrews 10:24)
